Pamela Card Jewelry is proudly designed and produced ethically in Canada.
Pamela Card travels the world collecting inspiration from ancient jewelry, art, and the places where history has been preserved. Her fascination began in Paris and deepened while living in Turkey and travelling throughout Italy, Portugal, and Greece. She became captivated by the objects that remained long after the people who made and wore them were gone: a weathered coin, a fragment of sculpture, an ornament preserved within a museum, a symbol carved into stone. Each seemed to hold a trace of the life it had once belonged to.
This became the foundation of Pamela Card Jewelry. Each piece is imagined as an artifact from another time, as though it had been unearthed from the earth, carried through another life, and eventually placed on display in a museum. Drawing from Roman, Greek, Byzantine, and Ottoman art and ornament, Pamela combines fragments of these worlds with contemporary forms, creating jewelry that feels discovered rather than made. But unlike an artifact behind glass, these pieces are meant to leave the museum. They are made to be worn, touched, lived in, and given another chapter.
Every design carries a story and a reason for existing. Ancient symbols and imagined histories become vessels for ideas that remain deeply human: love, transformation, courage, devotion, growth, freedom, and resilience.
A piece might mark something you have survived, someone you love, a chapter you are entering, or a quality you want to carry with you. Its original story belongs to another time. Its next story belongs to you.
Made to become more personal with time, our modern heirlooms are designed as something to keep, remember by, and eventually pass on. Each piece is crafted in solid gold, sterling silver, or 24K gold vermeil and produced in Pamela’s East Railtown studio in Vancouver, Canada, where she works alongside her small team.
What begins as an imagined relic becomes something entirely different once it is worn: an object with a past, a present, and a story still being written.
We strongly value and wish to promote locally produced, handmade products that are mindfully consumed, versatile and worn for years rather than seasons. The collections oppose mass production and instead promote the beauty of ancient craft and focus on it’s longevity.
