Our Tale
Pamela Card travels the world to collect inspiration for her evolving, namesake jewelry collection. Paris was where her love of ancient jewelry began; however, it was while living in Turkey and travelling throughout Italy, Portugal and Greece that her love of jewelry as an art form came to actualization. Pamela was completely enthralled by the depth of history preserved within each village, encased in each museum, and displayed at each palace.
With a deep appreciation of art, history and analog photography, her designs embody the style of jewelry at a time period that bridges between Roman, Greek, Byzantine, and Ottoman art. The collections focus on mixing elements of all the above periods to combine components of historic beauty with modern day sentiments.
Blending tradition and timeless style, our sustainably made designs consist of solid gold, sterling silver and 24K gold vermeil - produced entirely in our East Railtown studio in Vancouver, B.C by Pamela and her small team.
By using ancient practises like lost-wax casting and hand forging, our team is able to design with a completely hands-on approach to her work. As the collections do not focus solely on the perfected symmetry of jewelry, we enjoy using more exploratory techniques to play and experiment with more artistic and sculptural designs.
Pamela Card Jewelry is committed to creating slow made heirlooms for you to cherish that are ethically produced using recycled and responsibly sourced materials. We only partner with stone suppliers who source conflict free gemstones. All diamond encrusted heirlooms are set with naturally grown responsibly sourced diamonds from our suppliers that fall under The Kimberley Process Treaty.
We strongly value and wish to promote locally produced, handmade products that are mindfully consumed, versatile and worn for years rather than seasons. The collections oppose mass production and instead promote the beauty of ancient craft and focus on it’s longevity.
